Privacy Policy

GasCast (listed on the App Store as NatGasCast) shows weather-driven natural gas demand forecasts. We collect as little as possible.
What we don't collect
- No accounts. We never ask for your name, email, phone number, or location.
- No advertising, analytics, or tracking tools. We do not sell or share personal data.
What we store
- Push notification token and alert choices. If you turn on alerts, your device's Apple push token and the alert types you selected are stored on our server (Cloudflare) only to send those alerts. Tokens that Apple reports as invalid, for example after you delete the app, are removed automatically.
- Subscription status. Payments are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details. To unlock GasCast Pro, the app sends Apple's signed subscription receipt (product, purchase and expiration dates) to our server to confirm your subscription is active.
Data sources and service providers
Forecasts are built from public weather data (Open-Meteo, NOAA models) and U.S. Energy Information Administration data. Written summaries are generated by an AI model (Anthropic) from weather and storage numbers only. None of these providers receive any information about you.
Children
GasCast is not directed to children under 13.
